The reason

I love shoes, and I can't bare to see them perish. When the buckles on my wedding shoes started to rust I thought it's time to do something about it. From now on the shoes might be gone but the appreciation continues!

Christian Louboutin Iriza d'orsay pumps 100mm in blue patent

My second pair of Iriza, this time in a cool silvery metallic blue.  Official color is Everest Metal - sounds much better than my description.  The usual Iriza fit with good toe cleavage.  The color gives out a cool vibe.  One of my favourites. True to size.

Bottega Veneta Bette d'orsay pumps 100mm in blue black red patent

My first ever pair of shoes from Bottega Veneta.  Very excited to try them in the winter. I envision a perfect match with these and my purple trench coat.  Let's see.  Love the d'Orsay design and the slightly chunkier heels, somehow they feel very retro.  The signature weave print and high-gloss finish also make them very captivating.  The straps are also an unusual arrangement but they look surprisingly well on my feet.  Hope they are comfortable as well!  Buy half size up.

Christian Louboutin Iriza pumps 100mm in glitter

I stepped in the shop to dodge the rain, and I got out with the best shoes (not necessary very friendly for day-to-day use).  Oh well.  Glitter, pointy, d'Orsay. I could not resist.  Love the minimal toe coverage too. It's a pointy version of Helmour. True to size.

Valentino platform d'orsay 105mm in black patent

When I saw these shoes in Harrods my heart was racing so much I had to walk away to cool off.  Five minutes later I found myself running back to the shoe department to try them on.  They came in hot pink, red and black but my size was sold out with pink and red.  Well at least I didn't have to make a painful decision between red and black.  They seem a lot higher than 105mm for some reason.  Perhaps it's the elegant elongated shaped heels.  Love the bows.  I take them out to admire them from time to time!  Buy half size up.

Louboutin Helmour pumps 100mm in burgundy patent

The official color is called metal. I love how they are practically a mixture of Ron Ron's round toe and Elisa's slender heels, plus an interesting d'orsay design.  It wasn't until I tried them on then I realised how challenging they could be.  I guess the d'orsay cutout is rather shallow and I can't help but to feel that half my feet are sticking out.  The shoe guy assured me that my feet are narrow enough for a good fit and that they look fine.  I read on the Louboutin book that the design was an inspiration of Cinderella's shoes.  The extra exposure should make one feel sexy like a princess in her glass shoes.  Now it's all making sense!  Buy half size down.

Manolo d'orsay 90mm in gold leather

Propelled by the whole SATC craze these shoes were THE IT shoes at the time. And that's when I made a mistake of buy them even though they were half a size too big. Despite the extra padding I added on the back of my heels they were still too big. That aside I do like the way the straps are constructed. And they are very comfortable and certainly go with a lot of styles. I am not sure why they seem to get worn out more quickly than any of my other shoes. True to size.
