The reason

I love shoes, and I can't bare to see them perish. When the buckles on my wedding shoes started to rust I thought it's time to do something about it. From now on the shoes might be gone but the appreciation continues!

Roger Vivier Belle De Nuit 100mm in red patent

Another pair of Belle De Nuit! It's an addiction.  I didn't think I would ever need another pair but when I saw them I could not resist.  I love the darker and rich red.  And look at that shine!  There was a pair of 85mm and even though I knew they would be more comfortable but I decided I should go all the way.  There should be no compromises for a pair of red hot heels such as these. I am not sure why my camera seems to be playing up but the true color is closer to the picture on the top.  Buy half size up.

Roger Vivier Belle De Nuit 85mm in burgundy patent

Belle De Nuit in 85mm is a compromise but I feel that just because I need to walk around it doesn't mean I have to trot around in my Birkinstocks?  With the new rubber soles these shoes are a lot lighter than the leather version and especially the ones with metal buckles.  The insoles are nicely padded too and I have to say they are a lot easier on my feet than the 100mm.  Am I getting old?  True to size.

Roger Vivier pumps 100mm in purple patent

These are my first pair of pointy shoes in many many years.  In fact I don't remember having had pointy shoes at all!  I picked them up at the shop because of the color.  I love love love this rosy purple shade and once I tried them on my feet I did not want to take them off.  Not only are they leg-extending the shallow cut and the resulting toe-clevage effect is just irresistible.  They come in electric blue and orange.  I had a hard time picking between blue and purple and at the end I went for the purple.  Blue seemed very naughty and as much as I love blue I have not got any wear out of my other pair.  Perhaps the coming cold season will correct the situation: everything goes with jeans right?  True to size.
It was only when I got home that I realised the buckle detail on the soles.  Very cute.

Roger Vivier platform wedge 120mm in green/blue fabric

Another pair of Roger Vivier I could not resist (It's happening quite a bit lately).  Green is my favourite color to begin with and surprisingly these shoes are a lot more versatile then my other green shoes.  The casual style helps a lot.  At 120mm they are very comfortable also.  I have been wearing them almost everyday since the start of  the summer.  True to size.

Roger Vivier Belle De Nuit 100mm in blue patent

Why do I need 3 pairs of Belle de Nuit in different colors?  It's not a question you ask a shoe addict.  I saw them in Shanghai at first and I walked away.  When I saw them again in Hong Kong and the only pair left was in my size I took it as a sign.  You see there are many reasons why a woman must get that pair of shoes.   Love the color and the bronze hardware.  True to size.

Roger Vivier Belle De Nuit 100mm in beige leather

When I saw these in beige leather my senses and practicality flew right out the window.  They are beautiful and comfortable but very fragile.  I have to remind myself to be careful when I wear them so they stay clean.  I love the color and leather feels a lot softer than the patent leather version.  True to size.

Roger Vivier Belle De Nuit 100mm in black patent

They were the only color and size left in Harrods. I would not have picked black otherwise but I love them now. They look stunning with jeans especially - somehow the black patent leather seems to shine! Very chic and slick. The extra room (comparing to Louboutins) for my toes is quite welcoming too. I still admire the fascinating heels every time I wear them. True to size.
