The reason

I love shoes, and I can't bare to see them perish. When the buckles on my wedding shoes started to rust I thought it's time to do something about it. From now on the shoes might be gone but the appreciation continues!

Christian Louboutin New Very Prive 120mm in mauve patent and glitter

Another addition to the Prive collection.  I had made a promise to myself to avoid 120mm but I fell into the glitter + Very Prive trap once again. They came in two colors and I pick mauve over powder blue.  I'm hoping the one-inch platform would help make these more wearable.  Buy half to one size up.

Christian Louboutin Cross Street 120mm in gold and black patent

Another find in Madrid.  These are retro, old Hollywood glam! They are not what I was originally looking for (I wanted practical), but I couldn't part with them once I tried them on.  I love how they angle my feet, and they have great toe cleavage.  The hidden platforms seem to ease the 120mm height a little, but I will have to test them out first.  I just need a glamorous outfit to go with them! True to size.

Christian Louboutin Lagoula ankle strap sandals 120mm in red leather and black lace

I had been wanting to get shoes with more manageable heights, i. e. 80mm, but somehow I always ended up with super-high heels over and over again.  I guess the extra height does arch my feet in a certain way which I find irresistible. When I tried these on I immediately felt so retro. The look belongs to a 1950s mob's muse in NYC.  Had to buy them!  With the hidden platforms the height is just about ok.  It's still very challenging walking downhill for example.  Buy half size up.

Christian Louboutin Maryl 120mm in red patent

Another pair of red shoes for the collection. There is something very appealing to a pair of red-hot Louboutins.  Knowing they might not be as practical as I would hope for (as a mom of 3) I could not say no. I was actually really taken by surprise by how comfortable these shoes are when I tried them on.  The hidden platform design makes all the difference.  The angled heels also provide a very good balance to the shoes and they feel very very steady.  At 120mm you still can't walk around town with them all day but they are as comfortable as 120mm gets.  Buy half size up.

Roger Vivier platform wedge 120mm in green/blue fabric

Another pair of Roger Vivier I could not resist (It's happening quite a bit lately).  Green is my favourite color to begin with and surprisingly these shoes are a lot more versatile then my other green shoes.  The casual style helps a lot.  At 120mm they are very comfortable also.  I have been wearing them almost everyday since the start of  the summer.  True to size.
