Another lovely creation by Alexandre Birman. The structure is solid and very steady, the leather straps extremely soft and supple. Love the shape of the heels which adds to the stability as well.

 

 

 

Gianvito Rossi Brittany ankle straps sandals 100mm in purple sparkles

I feel like I have come a full circle with these strappy heels. They reminded me a couple of my also very strappy Gucci heels I had many moons ago. Never bought Gucci shoes again as they had zero arch support and caused me a lot of pain, but that’s another story. These ones have the usual lovely G Rossi fit, which makes 100mm a walk in the park. Love the pearly finish and iridescent sparkly bits. Tie at back for cleaner lines. True to size.

Victoria Beckham ankle straps 100mm in black leather and gold chain

 My first pair of V Beckham shoes. Loving the design with gold chains. Sadly the fit is not ideal. Arch support is not great and they are not very steady. A big difference compared to Gianvito Rossi.

Love love love the colour and iridescent effect. The fit is perfect as well. It makes walking in 100mm possible. Have to say Gianvito Rossi has become one of my favourite shoe designers. 

Rupert Sanderson Myril ankle straps 100mm in black python

I considered these for a while as I was unsure about exotics. I caved finally and am annoyed to find that they are not even comfortable. There’s not a lot of support and my feet keep sliding forward as a result. Surprising as my other Rupert Sanderson shoes fit like gloves. True to size.

Could not walk away from them so here we are. Love how tapered they make my feet look. The straps make a lot of difference in terms of support compared to pumps. True to size.

Valentino pumps 100mm in black suede

They are my winter favourites these days. Nice shape, great support and they go with everything from jeans to dresses. I even bought another pair in grey to try on but ended up returning them. Somehow the heels look too clunky in lighter shade. Shame. True to size.

Christian Louboutin Pigalle Bazin pumps 100mm in multicolor patent

Another pair of Pigalle. The multi-color orange print is actually more difficult to pair than I thought.  Jeans or black i think. :-) Official color is pompadour. Buy half or one size up.

Christian Louboutin Iriza d'orsay pumps 100mm in blue patent

My second pair of Iriza, this time in a cool silvery metallic blue.  Official color is Everest Metal - sounds much better than my description.  The usual Iriza fit with good toe cleavage.  The color gives out a cool vibe.  One of my favourites. True to size. 

Aquazzura Linda sandals 100mm in orange patent

So bright and so orange but so cheap! It's interesting what people (or just me) would buy in a sale.  They were almost 80% off so I thought why not have something fun and colourful, just in case.  Have worn them once since and liked the fit.  Also love the straps and they way they tie, which is similar to the wedges Karlie. Will try to pair them with jeans actually to get more use of them.  Friends please ask me out to drinks and dinner more!  True to size.

I had been look at Alexander Birman shoes for a while and the pair I wanted was Clarita.  They seem to be sold out forever and so when these came along a mega sale I thought I would give them a try.  I have to say the quality and fit for these shoes exceeded all my expectations!  The leather is the softest and finest I have ever seen.  The fit is also incredible and very supportive.  I am going to try to hunt down a pair of Clarita now.  True to size.

Rupert Sanderson Malory 100mm in shatter honeydue

Another purchase in the irresistible online sale. While I love the color I have to say I'm a little disappointed with the cut.   The usual signature low curvy vamp is nowhere to be seen! The toe compartment seems a bit deeper than usual too.  I guess they will at least be comfortable.  Buy half size up.

Sophia Webster for J. Crew 100mm ankle strap sandals in white and green

These are so much fun! Love the color combination and the mixture of fabric and leather.  They even have hot pink soles! Perhaps others don't want fun and that's how they ended up in the outlet.  I have never had Sophia Webster shoes before and they don't feel entirely supportive and comfortable. Maybe it is a cheaper line collaborating with J. Crew? True to size.

Another pair of Pigalle Follies in nude to add to the collection.  Still love the shallow toe cap and vamp.  Buy one size up.

Jimmy Choo Lang ankle strap sandals 100mm in yellow leather

Finally I got a pair of Lang.  I had been looking, and waiting for a pair with the right color and material.  Love the egg-yolk color (official color is Sun). The usual brilliant Jimmy Choo fit. Buy half size up.

I would not have tried these on normally but the sales person insisted.  And I had to thank him.  Love the color combination and how they look on my feet.  Very summery and modern and a great addition to a summer wardrobe.  Buy half size up.

I suppose it's not always about glitter.  I have solid and normal looking shoes in my collection too.  The usual Louboutin fit and shape.  They feel very similar to Elisa, except the heels are a little different.  Great buy on sale! Buy half size up.

Christian Louboutin Iriza pumps 100mm in glitter

I stepped in the shop to dodge the rain, and I got out with the best shoes (not necessary very friendly for day-to-day use).  Oh well.  Glitter, pointy, d'Orsay. I could not resist.  Love the minimal toe coverage too. It's a pointy version of Helmour. True to size.

Finally, I jumped on the stud wagon.  I held out for at least 2 (or maybe 3?) years because I'm not really a rockstar kind of gal.  I couldn't walk away from this pair, for green is my favourite color.  Will pair them with cigarette pants to vamp them up!  Buy one size up.

My first pair of Ariel.  The footbeds are very roomy and comfortable, typical Rupert Sanderson fit.  I also like the curvy vamp, the little details make all the difference on the feet.  Buy half size up.
