It's summer time and I suddenly find myself in desperate need of flat sandals. These greyish lavender flats were a perfect find. Love the fit and the comfy padded soles. The straps seem to fit into the right places and I'm confident to wear them on a long day. The color is versatile and nude to go with most colors, and it's a nice departure to the usual nude/beige color. A great find! True to size.
The reason
I love shoes, and I can't bare to see them perish. When the buckles on my wedding shoes started to rust I thought it's time to do something about it. From now on the shoes might be gone but the appreciation continues!

Tod's ballet flats in grey suede
Finally I got a pair of the legendary Tod's ballet driving shoes. I came across them at Harrod's sale and thought why not? I am usually quite weary of these curl-up elastic shoes as they tend to cut into the heels too much. These seem perfectly OK though as there are no elastics at the back. The comfort level lives up to the Tod's reputation. And I like how there are dots at the back of the shoes so that they won't get scuffed by some of the rougher driving mats. Buy half size up.
