The reason

I love shoes, and I can't bare to see them perish. When the buckles on my wedding shoes started to rust I thought it's time to do something about it. From now on the shoes might be gone but the appreciation continues!

Fornarina ankle boots 90mm in brown suede

I got these when I was 3-month pregnant. They are easy to slip on and off and they seem pretty sturdy and supportive. Not the best-made shoes in terms of workmanship and shape but comfy enough. True to size.

Louboutin Ron Ron 85mm in black leather

I thought I could sacrifice look to comfort and went for these 85mm Ron Ron (plus 100mm was sold out!). The truth is it's all or nothing for me as I realised. When they are not high enough it's just not the same. Buy half size up.

Elie Tahari ballet flats in black leather

I saw these at the Harrods sale and tried them on. Got instantly hooked as they are extremely comfortable. The leather is so soft it's out of this world. I wish I had gotten the bronze ones as well as they feel so much better than the Tod's driving shoes got at the same sale. True to size.

Marc Jacob ballet flats in blue patent

I bought these because they seem great in the rain. They are! True to size.

Nine West ankle wraps 90mm in pink/yellow fabric

Love the romantic soft pink, and the slightly transparent fabric adds to the whole feminine theme as well. True to size.

Nine West sling backs 90mm in blue/rainbow patent/fabric

I think they are possibly the best-looking Nine West shoes in this world. Love the clever use of colors and materials in design. Very Paul Smith as well. The down side - horrible fit. The straps cut into my feet and the sling backs with scratchy elastics feel too tight too. Still I am willing to put up with pain The things we do for shoes. True to size.

L.K. Bennett wedge pumps 90mm in purple/gold suede/leather

These are so comfortable you can probably wear them at a marathon! Love the slim, non-chunky wedge heel design. Don't like the chunky looking front. I think they would look sexier if more toes are shown. True to size.

Ferragamo ballet flats in fuchsia patent

My very first pair of Ferragamo shoes. Couldn't resist the color. They seem comfortable enough but I was expecting more from the legendary Ferragamo. Buy half size up.

Ferragamo ballet flats in orange patent

Love the color - it's so much fun. And I thought it would be challenging to find things to match them but they proved to be a lot more versatile. Buy half size up.

Patrick Cox slides 110mm in red leather

Classic Patrick Cox design with the fleurs-de-lis. They are so high they sometimes gave me cramps. They feel supportive enough though with the robust straps. And what ever happened to the Patrick Cox label? True to size.

pumps 100mm in black patent

I can't work out what the brand is but my sister recommended them to me as they were a cheap substitute for Fifi. According to her they look identical to Fifi, but I disagree. The toe compartment is just not the same. True to size.

Chanel pumps 85mm in black/beige patent

I can only describe the material as laminated cork. A very strange concept but they are comfortable nonetheless. Toe caps come in 3 colors: black, red and navy. I had a hard time deciding which but settled for black at the end. Red is definitely nice especially the slingback version. Buy half size up.

Manolo slides 60mm in green patent

Leather is supple, comfortable height. Can walk forever with them on. Too bad I don't get to use them too often these days.

Marc Jacob slides 80mm in gold leather

These were my best friend at one point. They are extremely comfortable and they go with many skirts and dresses. Since I'm all pants and shorts these days I've since retired these shoes to my shoe closet. True to size.

Louboutin sling back pumps 70mm in black patent

I got these in Seoul, and they were on sale. I don't wear them often because the straps at the back hurt so much. Perhaps I should have them changed as I love the way they make my toes look. Buy half size up.

Repetto ballet flats in gold leather

I bought these over the internet and they turn out to be too big. I did not need to buy large as the web site suggested. They were my best friend when my feet were swollen from my pregnancies though. True to size.

Manolo strappy sandals 95mm in neon yellow leather

These shoes are still brand new and they have been sitting in my cabinet for 4 years at least. The color is tricky and I don't seem to wear anything short (which I think would go with strappy sandals). That aside the leather is the softest there is available to mankind, it makes 95mm of height seems nothing. How do they do it? Trues to size.

Colkorle wedge slides 100mm in green floral fabric

In lime green. Why not?

Colkorle wedge slides 100mm in yellow floral fabric

A yellow and fuchsia version of the wedges. I couldn't say no to them when they were so cheap.

Colkorle wedge slides 100mm in black floral fabric

It's a made-up brand sold locally in Shanghai and they are really cheap (a little more than US$10). They are reasonably comfortable and they seemed well made. Buy one size down.

L.K. Bennett Shilo pumps 85mm in beige patent

These were on sale so I thought why not? The fit feels slightly bigger than the red ones but they are still not the most comfortable shoes. One night I had them on for 30 mins and brisk-walked. My feet hurt so bad and I had to cab back. True to size.

Jimmy Choo pumps 85mm in beige patent

I settled for these as I had had little success in finding a pair of nude patent Louboutin. I am not a fan of pointy shoes and these are as pointy as I can handle. I would like them to be 100mm but you can't beat how comfortable they are at 85mm. Buy half size up if you want more room in the toe compartment.

Jimmy Choo slides 85mm in honeydew green satin

From the same collection as the slingbacks. I was never sure about them, especially the medallion thingy. And I find slides a little more difficult to go with my closet anyway so they don't get a lot of use. True to size.

Jimmy Choo slingbacks 85mm in honeydew green satin with dots

Love how colorful they are but at the same time they are a bit tricky when it comes to matching. The usual Jimmy Choo comfort and quality, I am hoping I will get more use of them as it is all about colors this season! True to size.

L.K. Bennett Shilo pumps 85mm in red leather with snakeskin print

They are not the most comfortable shoes as the leather seems unusually stiff. It's just not the same quality as Louboutin or Choo but I guess you get what you pay for. I would not pay full price (₤145) as I feel that it's too expensive for what you get. I got them on sale 40% off and it's just about what I'm willing to pay for them. Sizing is a little strange as they only go up in full size and while size 36 was a little pinchy for me the next size up was way too big.
